April Lynn Baddley, 41, of Florence, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Elkins Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be Brother David McKelvey, with burial in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-3 p.m.
April was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willie Presley. She was a kindergarten teacher at Weeden Heights Elementary who loved each and every student. She kept pictures of her students and followed them as they progressed through school. They were her life. She enjoyed cooking, watching old movies, spending time with her nieces and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her parents, Nancy and Warren Baker Jr.; one brother, Dr. Harper M. Baddley III and wife, Sherry; grandmother, Marie Presley; nieces, Debora and Riley Baddley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 104 S. Poplar St., Florence, AL 35630.
