MRS. JACOBS
LaGRANGE -- Mrs. Faye Combs Jacobs, 66, of LaGrange died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Ala.
Funeral services were scheduled Monday, Sept. 6 at Fairfax First Baptist Church with the Revs. Doug Crosman, Olin McClain and Nick Pilgrim officiating. Burial followed at Fairfax Cemetery.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by two sons, Trippe (Melissa) Jacobs of Wilmington, N.C., and Jeff (Kristi) Jacobs of Griffin, Ga.; four grandchildren, Hannah Jacobs, Hunter Jacobs, Hank Jacobs and Ethan Jacobs; two brothers, Emory Combs of Waverly and L.S. Combs of Valley; one sister, Carolyn Nesmith of Columbus, Ga.; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Jacobs of Trion, Ga.
Born Aug. 22, 1938 in Fairfax, Mrs. Jacobs was the daughter of the late Irene Carden Combs and Lawrence Combs. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Wehadkee Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Houston County Fire and Rescue or to Eufaula Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 13, Eufaula, Ala. 36072.
The family received friends Sunday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
