Walter Jacob Hardman was born on Sep 13, 1914 in Unity, Baker, Oregon, son of David Jasper Hardman and Mary Ann Davidson. He was the oldest of 2 boys and grew up on his parent's farm in Hereford, Baker County, Oregon. His brother was Charlie but we called him Chub. He married Geneva Viola Wyland in Weiser, Washington, Idaho on 7 Jun 1939 and they raised their family on their farm in Clackamas County, Oregon. Walt and Geneva lived in Seattle for a few years in the 1950's but later moved back to Oregon. Walt passed away Aug 6, 2001 in Silverton, Marion, Oregon.
