PEORIA -- Jesse Lewis "Bud" Donath Jr., 69, of 314 Voris for the past six years, formerly of Princeville, died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 1996, at his residence.

Born Nov. 25, 1926, in Princeville to Jesse Lewis and Maimee Erikson Donath , he married Harriet L. Riggen on Aug. 18, 1949, in the state of Georgia. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Princeville; two sons, John and Rick, both of Peoria; three daughters, Karen Donath of Peoria Heights, and Debra Donath and Mrs. Doug (Kathy) Hazen, both of Peoria; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Stickling of Princeville and Mrs. Harland (Juanita) Burgess of Prescott, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother.

A truck driver, he last worked for Peoria Blacktop, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Teamsters Local 627. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville. The Rev. Rick Anderson will officiate.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
