Sidney White Whiteley, 85, died Friday Night at a Pampa hospital.

Services were held Monday, January 24, 1983 at the Wheeler Church of Christ. Gene Glaeser of Pampa officiated. Burial was in Kelton Cemetery, Directed by Wright Funeral Home.

He was born in Clarksville, Ark. He married Kansas Horton Sept. 17, 1916 in Johnson County, Ark. They moved to Kelton in 1927, living there until they moved to Wheeler in 1973. The past two years they had lived at Pampa Nursing Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester St. Church of Christ.

Pallbearers were Bus Dorman, Dean Johnson, Kenneth Killingsworth, Leonard Mills, Orb Pond, and James Verden.

Survivors include his wife, of Pampa, a son, Don Whiteley of Wheeler; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Riley and Mrs. Sidney Jackson, both of Pampa and Mrs. Betty Fillingim of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Foster Whiteley of Pampa and Charlie Whiteley of Wheeler; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
