Funeral services for James V. Kincheloe, 63, of Carthage, were held Tuesday at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. Al Neal officiated. Burial followed in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Jimerson Funeral Home. He died Sunday in a Longview hospital.

Born Jan. 15, 1935 in Hamilton County, he was the son of George L. and Rube Lee Poe Kincheloe. He was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines and a member of the Carthage Church of Christ. He married Oletha Jeraldine Smith on May 28, 1955 in Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife, Jeri Kincheloe, of Carthage; sons, Rodney Allen Kincheloe, of Carthage, and Allen Kincheloe, of Carthage, and Ronald James Kincheloe, of Dallas; daughters, Linda Sheryl Harris, of Palestine, and Sandra Lee Welch, of Houston; sister, Sharon Ann Bynum, of Star; niece, Karen Ann Homan, of Oglesby; grandchildren, Michael Welch, of Houston, Lynn Kincheloe, of Carthage, and Stephanie [Harris?], of Palestine.

Pallbearers were Don Capps, Joe Birdwell, Larry Kenslo, Charlie Pool, Kenny Kallan, Tommy Robinson, Greer Bell and Mark Burleson.

Memorial donations may be made to any of the following: Carthage Church of Christ, Longview Cancer Center or Hospice of Longview.
