Married Mary Elizabeth Burnham in 1870. After her death in 1877, his three young children (Skelton Eugene, Mathilene [Mattie] and William C.) were sent to live with their grandmother, Elizabeth (Fishpaw) Burnham Price and her second husband, Skelton Price. William C. Ambrose (my great grandfather) changed his name to Price in 1918.
He married Phebe Cox in 1879, and had several more children with his second wife: Bertha Ambrose, Alfred Stephen Ambrose, and Walter Price Ambrose.
Died while on a visit to Frostproof, Florida after being struck by a car on Christmas Eve, 1920.
