Enlisted in the 9th I.V.I., in 1861, discharged in 1862 at Memphis. In politics, Democrat; in religion, Methodist Episcopal. Has been Road Supervisor. His wife, Elizabeth Brickley, was born in Maryland in 1840; married in 1865; had three children—Clara May, died in October, 1873; Annie Lizzie, born in October, 1873; Clarence J., January, 1878.
