James Solomon worked for the railroad and lived in Tiff, Washington Co MO, his wife's home place. Later moved into Desoto, Jefferson Co. He died of pneumonia at about age 36 and left 4 children, the oldest was James Clarence KING, age 7. The officiating priest at his burial was Fr. Laroche.

The 1900 census shows widow Mary Josephine and the 4 children living in the City of Desoto.

Note: No Stone for Him or his wife Mary Josephine Boyer whom he is buried next to in the Old Cemetery. C. Q. King (a grandson) who was pall bearer for Mary Josephine in 1937 and now at 89 yrs old, said to the best of his knowledge they are buried about 3-4 rows from woods at top of hill and on far left side. Very close (and possibly next to) where James Solomon's father-in-law Jonathon "John" T. Boyer who has a Civil War Stone - CO 'E' 50th MO INF. was buried 13-14 years later.
