Patterson died Sunday, January 16, 8:30 a.m. at his residence. He was born September 30, 1901 in Santo, and had lived at his present address since 1901. He was a farmer and a produce dealer. Patterson was a member of the Methodist Church. Jewel Stubblefield and he were married January 6, 1924 in Palo Pinto. They recently celebrated their 59th anniversary.
Grandsons will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife: Jewel Patterson, Mineral Wells; three daughters: Mrs. L. B. McMinn, Corpus Christi; Mrs. L. G. Bernard, Mineral Wells; Billie Jean Martin, Olden; five sons: Clayton Patterson, Mineral Wells; Wendell Patterson, Olney; I. L. Patterson, Jr., Millsap; Roy Ned Patterson, Mineral Wells; Johnny Patterson, Mineral Wells; 28 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; a sister: Lorene Huddleston, Fort Worth; a brother: T. O. Patterson, Mineral Wells; several nieces and nephews. - obituary
