In 1939, she married Clarence Womelsdorff who died in 1987.
Jean was a matron for Rocky Butte Jail and the City of Portland Police Bureau Jail. She was a nurse's aide for several nursing homes, moving to Vancouver in 1974, later retiring from Emerald Terrace.
Survivors include her sons, David and Mark; the niece and grandson she raised, April Stiner and Jonathan Womelsdorff; ten other grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Tues., Sept. 30, 2008, in Lincoln Willamette Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR
