Hyldrid Alton Dawson
BELTON – Graveside services for Hyldrid Alton Dawson, 93, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at North Belton Cemetery with the Revs. Andy Davis and Dennis Cornelison officiating.
He died Aug. 15, 2006, at a Temple hospital.
Dawson was born July 25, 1913, in Belton to Jack Dawson and Myrtle Palmer Dawson. He married Ruth Cornelison on Nov. 24, 1945, in Moody. Dawson was an architectural draftsman on Fort Hood and also worked at the post office in Belton. He also served in the Army/Air Corps and was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dawson, of Belton; and sons, Larry Dawson, of Staunton, Va.; and Charles Dawson, of McGregor.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Belton or to Mustard Seed Ministries in Marble Falls.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
