Christian Sommer Anderson (sic), son of Niels C. and Anekatrine Anderson (sic), was born at Ruskin, Nebraska, October 17, 1887, and passed away in a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, June 1, 1942, at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 14 days. He was baptized in infancy and was reared in a Christian home.

On January 10, 1912, he was married to Julia Gililand (sic). A son who died in infancy, was born to this union. Most of his life was spent in the Ruskin vicinity. The last five years, however, he lived in Hebron, Nebraska.

He was of a sunny disposition and bore his affliction and pain patiently and cheerfully.

He is survived by his wife, who is a patient in the state hospital in Hastings, Nebraska; one son Ray of Hebron; one brother, E.S. Anderson (sic) of Ruskin; a sister, Mrs. Gene Binning of Kimball, Nebraska; and a sister, Mrs. N.H. Jenssen of Ruskin; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Community church conducted by Rev. J.H. Petersen of Bethany church. Music was furnished by Mrs. Clarence Krogh, Mrs. Chris Houtwed, Mrs. Mabel Magee, Frank Brown, Frank Hopkirk, with Mrs. C.O. Hull at the piano. Interment was made in Ruskin cemetery with the following as pallbearers: C.O. Hull, Jeppe Jeppesen, Nels Houtwed, Andrew Sommer, J.M. Jensen and Marinus Nelson.
