MARGARET E. M'CONNELL.
Margaret E. McConnell fell asleep in Jesus, at her home, in Fountain Green, May 20, 1903, aged 73 years, 9 months and 25 days.
Deceased was the daughter of James and Margaret McConnell and was born in Franklin county, Pa., coming but when a small child to Fountain Green, were the remainder of her life was spent, with the exception of the few years she lived with her sisters at Carthage and Warsaw. She was the youngest and last surviving member of the large family. Her life was spent in loving ministry for others, not thinking of her own ease or comfort, but ever forgetful of self. She followed the example of her Lord and Master. To her nephews, left orphan's [sic] in childhood, she gave a mother's love. Although frail for years, she clung to life that she might make a home for them, and having seen them enter man's estate, she felt that her life work was done and committing them to the care of the Lord, she set her face heavenward. Loving hands would fain have held her back, loving hearts were loathe to let her go, but she longed for the hour to come when she should enter into the promised land.
She united with the Presbyterian church at Fountain Green, when a child. Her's was a consecrated christian life, characterized by her charity for all, by an honest faith and unselfish deeds.
