Mr. Blackshear, 89, of Tullos, Louisiana died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 1999 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Pineville, Louisiana. He was a Auto Mechanic and a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Edith Mae Allbritton Blackshear of Tullos, La.; one daughter, Minnie Olavee Carter of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one son, Rodney G. Blackshear of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Velma Bradford of Georgetown, Audery Bence of West Miffin, Pa., Laveda Custer of Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Blackshear, Joe Sandifer, Howard L. McCarty, James Allbritton, Jerry Carter and Jim Bradford.
