He served in the Army in WWII and afterwards worked for the Navy at the Jacksonville base.
I'm not sure if he is actually buried at the Evergreen Cemetery. His death certificate shows this as the "Cemetery or Crematory" - I was told he was cremated and his ashes scattered in the woods where he loved to hunt.
