OBITUARY :
SAMUEL CLINTON BAKER, 81, died at 12:15 a. m. today at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He had been in failing health for the past year and had been a patient at Franklin Farms since March 1954. He had been critically ill the last two weeks and was admitted to the hospital a week ago.

He was born in Waynesboro the son of John H. and Mary Rebecca (Cline) Baker and lived his entire life in Waynesboro. He was a butcher by trade and followed that occupation most of his life. He was last employed at the Certified Bakery. For the last 10 years he had been retired.

Mr. Baker was a member of the Otterbein United Brethren Church.

Surviving are his wife Annie E. (Bryan) Baker, Franklin Farms and three children, John M. Baker, Charles W. Baker, Mrs. Rawleigh Bragunier, William C. Baker, Mrs. Lucille Newcomer, Mrs. Fannie Toms, all of Waynesboro ; James B. Baker, Mont Alto. Thirty-eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of DR. George L. Detweiler, and Rev. W. H. Seville. Internment will be in Burns Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday night from 7 until 9 o'clock at the funeral home.
