Theodore "Ted" Baker, Sr., 91, went to rest in the arms of Jesus on Aug. 30, 2008 in OKC. Ted was born on Aug. 16, 1917 in Cromell, OK to Billy and Susie (Williams) Baker. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Ted retired from TAFB in contract control, was the first president of the Indian Bowling League, enjoyed playing golf, and was a charter member of Glorieta Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 3 foster sisters. Ted is survived by his love of life, wife Melvina (Elix) Baker, one son, Ted Baker, Jr. and wife Marie, 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Services to celebrate Ted's life will be at 10:00AM Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at Glorieta Baptist Church, with interment at 3:00PM at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia, OK. A wake service will be held at Glorieta Baptist Church from 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Tues. Sept. 2, 2008.
