Ben was born on March 21, 1892 in Paplin, Howard County, Nebraska to John George Badura and Martha N Goc. He had blue eyes and light colored hair per his WWI-draft registration card. He attended the schools at Paplin, Nebraska.

Home as of June 11, 1900: Ashton, Sherman, Nebraska. Age 8. He was living with his parents and siblings, Helena-9, Frank-6, Peter-5, Johanna-3, Elenora-1 and Martha-2/12. He was attending school.

Home as of April 29, 1910: Ashton, Sherman, Nebraska. He was 18 years old living on a farm with his parents and siblings, Helen-19, Frank X-17, Peter-15, Johanna-14, Elenora-12, Martha-10, John-8, Dominek-6, and Theresa-3. He was a farm laborer working at his home farm.

Ben was married to Martha Fredrick on September 15, 1918 in Ashton, Nebraska.

He completed 8 years of school and was employed at a carpenter for a road construction company. He made $2600.00 and worked 52 weeks in 1939.

He died September 27, 1962 at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Loup City, Sherman County, Nebraska. His funeral services were held on October 1 at the St Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. He was 70 years old and in poor health the previous year. He was admitted to the hospital prior to his death. His primary cause of death was myocardial infarction due to coronary sclerosis. He also had diabetes.
