Vernon Brownfield

Vernon Brownfield, 82, of Round Rock, died July 26, 1997, in Round Rock.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Bill Honea officiating. Burial will follow at Younger Cemetery.

Mr. Brownfield is a former resident of Purdon. He was born December 18, 1914 in Ridgeway. He was master mason for more than 50 years.

Mr. Brownfield is survived by his wife, Billy Louise Ford Brownfield, formerly of Purdon; a daughter Linda Louise Hudson; two grand daughters, Janice Inell Lambert of Tyler and Sherrie Lee Gill of Austin; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Sarah Gill; brothers, Billy Gene Brownfield and Arthur Brownfield both of Garland; and a sister Geraldine Tidee of Neasho, Missouri.
