Virginia Ellen Magee, 72, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Community Care North in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Mrs. Magee was born March 29, 1925, to Harry and Ida M. (Carpenter) Billings in Austin, Nebraska.
She graduated from Loup City, Nebraska, High School in 1942. Virginia then moved to Hastings, Falls City and then to Omaha, Nebraska. She married Dwight W. Magee. He died May 7, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Virginia was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 1362 and VFW Auxiliary, both in Watertown, South Dakota, and Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors are three sons, Dwight W. Magee, Jr. and his wife Nan and David A. Magee and his wife Wanda, all of Watertown, South Dakota, and Harry I. Magee and his wife Diana of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Sandra L. Magee of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sharon Snodgrass and her husband Art of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at 1 p.m. at Spring Creek Cemetery at Ruskin, Nebraska, with Rev. Bill Waterman officiating. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson is in charge of the arrangements.
