Darrell L. Fullmer, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at his home.

Darrell was born to Leroy Fullmer and Verna Hansen Fullmer on June 11, 1924 in Arco, ID. He was the oldest of six children. The family moved to Blackfoot prior to Darrell beginning high school. After graduation, he studied Engineering for a short time at ISU before enlisting in the Army. Darrell proudly served in Korea for almost two years, quickly moving up to the ranks to Tech Sergeant. He received an honorable discharge in December 1946.

Shortly after returning home from his military service, Darrell married Vera Going in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They began their lives farming, first on the outskirts of Blackfoot, then moving to the Rose/Lavaside area where they raised their family and resided until their deaths.

Darrell loved playing sports, especially softball. He was a hard worker and took pride in doing his best in everything he did throughout his life.

Darrell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully served in many callings, including: Scoutmaster, Elders Quorum President, Bishop, member of the Stake High Council, Idaho Falls Temple Ordinance Worker and many years as Ward Finance Clerk. He was a man of great integrity, faith and total honesty. He left a wonderful legacy for his family and all who knew him.

Darrell was preceded in death by his dear wife, Vera, who passed away on their 59th wedding anniversary in 2006; his parents; two brothers, Frank and Lynn; son-in-law, David Clement; and great grandchild, Adam McBride.

Surviving Darrell are his four children, Phyllis Clement (Dave, deceased) of Layton, UT, Steve Fullmer (Diane) of Blackfoot, Joyce Wilson of Clinton, UT and Claudia Cook (Jerry) of Grace, ID; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
