George Brindley Laid to Rest
Funeral services for George Brindley, who passed away on Christmas day at the home of his son James Brindley, were held Saturday afternoon in the Koosharem hall. At the time of his death Mr. Brindley was ninety years of age.

Bishop Edward C. Bagley conducted the services Orson Anderson, Soren Sorensen and Peter E. Olsen spoke with respect and esteem for the deceased. Music consisted of selections by the Koosharem choir and vocal solos by G. M. Wright, Miss Aliss Vonda Bagley acted is as accompanist. The opening and closing prayers were offered by J. F. Delange and Sisson Hatch.
A large cortege of cars followed the remains to the final lesting place in the Koosharem cemetery.

Mr. Brindley was a faithful latter day saint having joined the church in his native country England shortly before coming to the United States. He is survived by four sons and one daughter: Howard Brindley of Kingston, Geoege Brindley of Idaho, Joseph Brindley of Pleasant Grove, James Brindley of Koosharem and Mrs. Alice Waters of Mapleton.

George Brindley is the son of William and Sarah Keats Brindley. Married Jane Shutt on November 9, 1863 and in 1869 they sailed on the ship Colorado and ending up in Milville, Utah. Eventually after moving several places they moved to Grass Valley in 1879. George and Jane had seven children: Howard, George, Clara, Joseph Arthur, William, Alice and James.

Joseph Arthur changed his last name spelling to Brinley.
