His death date is listed on a headstone application for deceased Union soldiers of the Civil War. According to the application, he died in Georgetown, Northumberland County, PA. I have not yet located this place and it may be a former name of a town.
He appears in the 1850 & 1860 census records taken when he lived with his parents, Civil War Union soldier records, and a Civil War Pension application in 1890.
Apart from that, I have been unable to locate him in 1870, 1880, or any other census.
His name is in dispute. In all records I have found for him he is listed as Benneville or Bennival.
His tombstone says "Bernard" Tschopp. It is him, nevertheless, because the Civil War info on it matches Benneville Tschopp perfectly.
