Leonor (Griego) Garcia, 87, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2004. She was born on December 25, 1916. She was born in Canyon Largo, and then she moved to Juan Tomas.
When she was growing up she loved to sing, she would go to her padrino who taught her to sing alavados.
She married Santiago Garcia in 1933 in the Church of San Felipe de Neri of historic Old Town, Albuquerque, NM. She was Devota Del Bless Sacraments Society.
She enjoyed spending time sewing, crocheting, quilting, embroidering and also playing bingo. She also attended San Jose Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Isidro and Don Garcia.
Leonora is survived by her children: Velma Garcia and lsidro; Rosalie Alderete and Ernest; Raymond Garcia and Stella; and Carmen Garcia and Irene; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Ernest Alderete Jr., Paul Alderete Jr., Darid Varady Jr., Ricardo Garca, Matthew Garcia and Enest Santiago Alderete.
Honorary pallbearers were: Joseph Alderete, Annette Gallegos, April Alderete and Alicia Alderete
