Dancer. Valentina Ivanova Zukova was a Mexican dancer of Russian descent, known as Valentina Zubareff, wife of Mario Moreno Reyes. Her parents escaped the Russian Civil War of 1919 and moved to Mexico, where they founded a traveling theater company named Carpa Valentina. Valentina performed with her mother and her sisters Olga and Támara, in the named Trío Zubareff, being the main number of the show. In 1929, Mario Moreno Reyes, joined the company, becoming increasingly popular. Valentina and Mario began a relationship, and they were married on December 15, 1934. Her sister Olga married Shilinsky, the company's screenwriter and actor of Lithuanian descent. In 1960, with no children of her own, Ivanova and her husband adopted a son. Valentina had stopped being a dancer since they were married. She passed away at age 54 of bone cancer.
