Anita Lee Joyce, age 44, Statenville, Georgia passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia following an extended illness. Mrs. Joyce was born in Hamilton County, FL. to the late George and Susan Anderson. She was employed by Echols County Landfill until her health declined. Survivors include her husband, George A. Joyce, Sr., Statenville, Ga.; one son, George A. Joyce, Jr., also of Statenville; three brothers, George Anderson of Arkansas, Frankie Anderson, Madison, FL. and Paul Thompson, Vidalia, GA.; two sisters, Susan Mullins of Kentucky and Jessica Bonnell, Jasper, FL.; her mother-in-law, Louise Gray, Statenville; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 17 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamie Register officiating. Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery.
