4 Dec 1958 -- Ashville -- Charles Brandt, 72, of this place, formerly of Dysart, died unexpectedly at 6:30 a.m. last Thursday, Nov 27, at his home here. He was born on June 17, 1886, in St. Augustine, a son of Daniel and Ellen (Krise) Brandt. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Agnes McDonald, in 1918. He is survived by these children - Daniel, of Dillsburg R. D.; Mrs. Marie Young and William, both of Mechanicsburg; Joh, Frederic, MD; and Milton, Walkersville, MD. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a brother of Thomas Brandt of Dean. Requiem High Mass was sung at 9: a.m. Monday in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville, by Rt. Rev. John B. Hackett, pastor, and interment was made in St. Augustine Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville.
