Mary J. Craghead, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Tash as celebrant and the Rev. Nicholas Gerber as concelebrant. Committal services will be in Llano Mausoleum. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mary was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Muleshoe to Matthew G. and Elizabeth Jesko. She married Joe M. Craghead on July 24, 1944, in Hereford. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, on March 31, 2002; and a sister, Clara Jean Wheat.
Survivors include two daughters, Jolene Fritz and husband Cleaburne of Carrollton and Barbara Jackson and husband Gary of Euless; two sisters, Therese Albracht of Hereford and Martha DiSclafani of Bradenton, Fla.; six brothers, Rudolph Jesko of Clayton, N.M., Paul Jesko of Sudan, N.M., Richard Jesko of Goodyear, Ariz., Anthony Jesko of Clovis, N.M., Bernard Jesko of Kerrville and Herman Jesko of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Building Fund, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79102.
