Rita E. Fern 92, of North Bay passed away Sunday September 25, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born March 19, 1924 in Cleveland, NY a daughter of Edward & Beulah Corson Delahunt. Fern was a 1941 graduate of Camden High School. On May 17, 1947 she married Maxwell E. Fern in St. Mary's Church, Cleveland, NY. Mr. Fern died December 26, 1994. Together, they owned and operated Fern's Boat Livery & Cottages in North Bay for 38 years, retiring in 1985. Rita was also a member of the former St. John's Church, North Bay, NY and the North Bay Vol. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her six brothers; John, Norman, Bernard, Raymond, Alonzo and Walter Delahunt.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Tuesday October 4, 2016 from St. John's Church, North Bay, NY under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Cleveland, NY. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the North Bay Vol. Fire Dept., Rescue Squad.
