Homer Minnix of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 88 years, 6 months, and 22 days. He was born on Saturday, October 11, 1919 at Jackson, KY, a son of the late Sidney and Mary Salyer Minnix.

Homer was a retired auto worker for a factory assembly line at General Motors and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

He is survived by one sister, Margaret Minnix of West Liberty; three nieces, Nadine Minnix, Vanessa Litton both of West Liberty, and Linda Poston of Grosse Ile, MI; two nephews, Larry Minnix of Centerville, OH and Gary Minnix of Oak Park, IL; several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY, with Bro. Mark D. Campbell officiating. Burial to follow in the Sallee Minnix Cemetery, Rousseau, KY in Breathitt County. Visitation 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
