Arthur M. Crawford Expires From Hurts Received Some Time Ago by Falling From a Step Ladder, While Working on House - Injuries received from a fall from a ladder some time ago, resulted in the death of Arthur M. Crawford, a well-known contractor in this city, who died yesterday morning. He had been ill since the fall, when he sustained internal injuries, and complications set in which proved fatal.
Mr. Crawford had been a contractor in this city for a number of years. During the first week of April, while hanging paper, he fell from a scaffold in such a manner as to injure him internally. Since that time he has been kept at his home, South Fifteenth street.
The decedent was born near Central City and was 62 years, 3 months and 12 days old.
The decedent is survived by his wife; two sons, A. E. Crawford of this city, and H. A. Crawford of Lincoln; two daughters, Mrs. F. E. McGinnis of Girard and Miss Harriett Crawford, residing at home.
The decedent was a member of Company F, Fifth Illinois cavalry. He was a member of Stephenson post No., 30, G. A.R.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at the residence which will be in charge of the G. A. R. The interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
