The 1900 Census in Salt Lake City, Utah, listed Mary as the mother of ten chilren, four living. Family records show nine children. Four of her children came to the U.S. and Salt Lake City, Utah, where they died; Elizabeth Brooks, Farrington (Ship: Idaho, 1873), John (Ship: Wyoming 1876), Charles (Ship: Wyoming 1879) and William (Ship: British King 1886).

Funeral services at the Twenty-eighth ward chapel, Sunday, at 12 o'clock."
At the time of death, she was living with her son Charles and wife Angelina at 538 Grant Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. The cause of death listed Cardiac Insuffiency and Old Age.
