Alfred B. Jones Dead
Honorary President of Gabbert Reunion was Ninety Years Old.
Alfred B. Jones, 90, a retired banker of Rushville, MO honorary president of the Gabbert
reunion and a regular attendant of the annual family gathering died Monday. Funeral
services were held Tuesday in St. Joseph.
President of the Rushville State bank thirty-four years, he retired two years ago. Death
came at his home in the town where he had lived all his life except for one 2-year trip
to the West. His land holdings were extensive.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Fenton; and a son, O.C. Jones both of Rushville, and
several nieces and nephews in Clay and Platte Counties.
