She was united in marriage with Upton Crowl, Sept. 7, 1850, the couple settling on a farm near Berry station where they resided until Mr. Crowl's death March 8, 1872. A year later, Mrs. Crowl removed to Springfield and had since been a resident of this city.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Slenker of this city; three brothers, John, William and Henry Taggart, all of Decatur; two grandsons, Frank Renshaw of Chicago and a grandson residing at Berry, and four great-grandchildren.
