"A long time resident of Tatum, Mrs Gladys L Eoff, 61, died at Lea General Hospital in Lovington at 10 a.m. Saturday less than an hour after she was admitted for treatment of a heart ailment.
"Mrs Eoff and her husband, Edd, moved to Tatum in 1946 from Roswell, where they had lived for 18 years. She was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club and in the Tatum Baptist Chuch of which she was a member. She had been organist for the church through the period of her residence in Lea County.
"Survivors include her mother who lives in Lamesa, Tex; a son, Wayne Edd Eoff of Tatum; a daughter, Mrs Jimmie Roach of Tatum; three brothers, J Travis Key, Mineral Wells, Tex, Dr Jack H Key, Uralde, Tex and D W Key, Eunice; two sisters, Mrs Otis Frier of Tatum and Mrs R H Kinnison of Lamesa; and five grandchildren.
"Funeral services will begin Monday at 2 p.m. at the Tatum Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Doyle N Winters, officiating. Burial will be in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Smitn-yarbie Funeral Home of Lovington."
