Ms. Carpenter was born May 26, 1910 in Coleman, TX. to Mary Kathryn and John Franklin Stewart and died Dec. 12 in Stillwater at the age of 97.
He grew up in the Weleetka andattended Weleetka Public Schools and was married to Robert H. Carpenter in Weleetka on Oct 23, 1937.
She worked as a bank teller for approximately 15 years at the First National Bank in Henryetta and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Preceding her in death ws her husband, Robert; both parents; a brother, Buford Stewart, and a sister,Bessie Chancey.
