Illiopolis, April 21. - Mrs. Martha Shrewsbury, 85, died at her home in Illiopolis early this morning. Decedent was born at Concord, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hezekiah Bridgeman. In 1876 she was married to George E. Shrewsbury, who died twelve years ago. Mrs. Shrewsbury had resided for the last forty-six years in this city where the family conducted a hotel. She is survived by a son, Earl Shrewsbury of Indianapolis, Ind., and a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Illiopolis.
Funeral services will be at the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery. - Illinois State Journal, Springfield, IL, 4-22-1936
