The deceased was born in Main June 28, 1920, where he received his education and spent his early life. He was twice married, his first marriage being with Miss Emeline B. Hatch, which union was blessed with five children, three having already preceded their father to the land beyond the grave.
The second marriage was with Mrs. Charlotte Chambers in 1874, who has at all times proved herself to be a true and faithful companion to him. A part of his life was spent in Springfield, but for the past forty years he has resided in this village, living in the same home where he did all this while.
For many years he has lived a true, consistent Christian life and met that grim destroyer death as only a Christian can. He has been quite feeble and has had poor health for a long time, but has only been confined to his home with his last sickness for a few days.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, Charles W. H. Sears, of Moroco, Ind., and Edward B. Sears of Old Orchard, Me., and many friends.
The funeral services will be held here at the M. E. Church.
