This is a sketch of the life story and lineage of Claudia w. Moore (Mrs. Roy T. Moore), as told her, for her children, grand children and great-grandchildren.

I am Claudia Winona Fields Bradley Moore, born April 9, 1898, in Newcastle, Colorado, to William Faber and Erminnie Strawn Bradley.

My Father’s family had come to Virginia from England in the early 1800’s. They moved to West Virginia and went from there to Missouri.

My father was born in Mexico, Missouri on November 1, 1861, to Thomas and Minerva Glad well Bradley. His father was killed, and his mother died a few years later. His maternal grandmother raised him. Her name was Gladwell, given name unkown to me.

He and my mother were married in Rosita, Colorado in 1885. He was 24, she was 16. (She, Papa, after their marriage mined most of his life for lead, coal and etc. Ending up homesteading on Jessie Creek, near Salmon City, In Lemhi County.
