He was married to Miss Mary E. Buckner, December 25, 1889, at her home north of Centralia.
In 1880 with his parents, he came to Kansas, and located on what is known as the Oscar Woolsoncroft home place. Later, in 1927, he made his home in Centralia.
When 23 years old, he was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and continued a consistent member of that church until he died.
He became Postal Messenger for the Centralia Post Office, January 6, 1928, and held that position at the time of his death.
There remain to mourn his departure, his wife, one brother, C.W. Woolman of Russell, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Moore, Olsburg, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wise of Centralia; and Mrs. Alice Chase of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides these relatives, he leaves a host of friends and acquaintances throughout the whole community.
The funeral service was held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. N.J. Adams the pastor. There were many beautiful flowers, the gift of relatives and friends. The music was furnished by a quartet, Earl Hightower, Darwin Elder, W.H. Snavely and Arthur Myers, with Miss White at the piano. The pallbearers were C.E. Drumm, Fred McGhee, Dennis DeBord, Josiah Sams, Harry Hanna, and Lee Welliever. Burial was in the Centralia cemetery.
