Karl W. Burkholder, 79, of Garrett RD 1, died March 31, 1994 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Sept. 21, 1914 in Garrett. A son of the late John J. and Belva (Weddle) Burkholder. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Minnie A. Hostetler and these sisters and brothers: Peggy Burkholder and EllaJean Walters and Clyde and Robert Burkholder. Survived by his daughter, Mrs. Kathy Donaldson, Meyersdale and grandchildren: Brooke and Jason. A brother of Belva Christner, Garrett; Jeannette Romesberg, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Libert J. Burkhold, Garrett RD 1. Veteran of U. S. Army WWII. A retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America, District 2, Local 1875. Friends were received Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday (today) with Pastor Charles Lady officiating. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Memorials may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society.
