The event of the season is the leap year party at Mr. Oliver Hale's, Tuesday evening, January 1st, 1884. The boys will have fine chances to learn lessons in deportment during the next twelve months."

"Rites For Mrs. Nible Arranged"
Funeral services were completed today for Mrs. Mattie Nible whose death yesterday at her home, 902 Orange avenue, followed a long illness. Services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in Mottel's Funeral parlors, Long Beach.
Mrs. Nible is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Damia Loptien, and two grandsons, Leo and Leonard Snedaker, and by one niece, Mrs. Everett McKinney, all of this city.
