Services for Mrs. Marian Haun were held in the First United Methodist Church in Coleman. She was the daughter of Coleman pioneers Eli Thomson and Ana Gardner Thomson. Her parents were teachers and both were former tax collectors. Mrs. Haun graduated from Coleman High School in 1916. In 1921, she received a degree from the College of Industrial Arts in Denton. She taught school in Cincinnati, Ohio, before returning to Coleman where she taught at Coleman South Ward for 20 years. She taught private art lessons. On 27 August 1924 she married Ralston P. Haun in Coleman. He preceded her in death and was the postmaster at the time of his death. Survived by two daughters - Ann Fromen and Jane Steakley; one son - R.P. Haun, Jr; seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Golston.
