HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Charles E. (Charlie Mae) Francisco, 91, died on Friday, July 18 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 21 at Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery in Huntingdon. Mrs. Francisco, the daughter of the late Arthur and Nina Grooms Campbell was born in Greenfield on April 12, 1912. She lived in Huntingdon after moving there with her family in the mid 1920?s as her father was responsible for building the first paved roads in Carroll County. In 1929, she married Charles Francisco. Mrs. Francisco served in the Carroll County Red Cross office during World War II. She worked along side her husband at the Carroll County Electric Department until retirement in 1975. After retirement, she managed various rental properties in Huntingdon and Greenfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Francisco. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wayne Leslie of Jackson; a son, Charles Campbell Francisco of Harvard, Massachusetts; a brother, Wason Gardner Campbell of Knoxville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements."
