Christiane Jeppesen was christened in Asdal, Denmark in March 1884,during a visit to Denmark by her parents and older brother, Jeppe. Her parents lived in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, USA. She was named after her paternal Grandmother, Christiane Jensdatter Worm Pedersen. Her middle name likely came from her maternal Grandmother, Else Marie Pedersdatter Kristensen.

She was raised on the Jeppesen farm and attended school in Nuckolls County, Nebraska.

In March of 1904, Christiana married Albert Albertson. A license for marriage was issued at the Nuckolls County Clerk's office on March 14, 1904 (Vol 4, #398). The 1900 U. S. Census, lists Albert Albertson as a hired hand on the farm of Christian & Dusine Nelson, Elvine's sister, near Hardy, Nebr.

One year later, Christiana died following childbirth with their first child, a daughter, born on February 12, 1905. The child was given the name of her mother, Christiana Marie, and nicknamed "Nan." She was raised by her grandparents, Jens and Elvine Jeppesen. Albert returned to Denmark and Christiana, nor the Jeppesen's ever heard from him again.

The 1920 U. S. Census shows Christiana's daughter, Christiana Albertson, age 14, living with Jens P. Jepperson (75) and Elvina Jepperson (59). ("Jepperson" should be Jeppesen).
