Mrs. Taylor was the widow of D.A. "Ansel" Taylor and a daughter of the late William P. and Alice Risinger Steele. She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church and she retired from the South Carolina Archives and History after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, grandsons, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband; daughter, Shirley Taylor Price; sisters, Colie Arnold, Ruth Cockrell; and brother, Dorth Steele.
