Greenwood, April 20 - Mrs. Janie Kemp Butler, 35, wife of Alvin L. Butler, died at her home in the Good Hope section of Saluda County today, after a three weeks illness. Funeral home services will be conducted at Good Hope Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Henry Bell White and the Rev. W. A. Shepherd officiating.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Butler is survived by a brother J. O. Kemp, Columbia and six sisters, Mrs. P.B. Witt, Johnston; Mrs. J. H. McDowell, Mrs. W. A. Butler, Saluda; Mrs. H. P. Pelatty, Edgefield; Mrs. J. A. Harris, Columbia; MRs. J. W. Morris, Anderson. She was the daughter of the late M. W. Kemp and Annie Hazel of Saluda County.
