Tari L. Cruse, 47, of Morton, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at her home. She was born May 18, 1961, in Peoria to Lyle R. and Sandra (Leurig) Cruse.

Surviving are one son, Jake Cruse of Morton; her grandfather, Harrison Leurig of Peoria Heights; two brothers, Lyle (Debbie) Cruse and Scott (Beth) Cruse, both of Morton; and two sisters, Robin Cruse (companion, Helene "Chip" Curnow) of Gulfport, Fla., and Jill (Perry) Crawford of Groveland.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Katie Cruse on March 19, 2005, and her parents.

Tari graduated as a registered nurse from the Illinois Central College Nursing Program in 1993 and worked for OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Cardiac Care, then at Oncology Hematology Associates in Peoria and later on the Medical Surgical Floor at Pekin Hospital.

She attended Grace Church in Morton.

For all who knew her, she provided a lesson in faith, strength and above all courage. Tari was strong in her faith and expressed that Jesus' story was and is the greatest story to be told.

Cremation will be accorded. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria.
