Said to have served in the Union Army during the Civil War, but no documentation has been found.

Son of Stephen and Nancy (Stamper) Adams. Married Jerusha Howser on June 7, 1870.

Was living in Jackson, Washington Co., Oklahoma during 1900 Census. His daughter, Mary A. Bohannan and her husband, Ulysses and four of their children are also in household.

Had a son William W. "Willie" and another daughter, Jeanette.
